Why choose Naked Clean?
Naked Clean® is different.
You can think of Naked Clean as a match-making service for clients who are looking for trustworthy, reliable, Housekeepers to clean their home. Each Housekeeper is part of our Network of proud independent owner’s who “clean for living” and are committed professionals. Each Pro Housekeeper is licensed and insured for your protection.
Our Network of independent Housekeepers creates a strong foundation of equality which builds longer term relationships. Many of our client’s and housekeeper’s have been together for many, many, years. But in the event you are not satisfied with your housekeeper, you can simply let us know and we can arrange for another housekeeper to clean your home.
Naked Clean holds the highest A+ rating as an Accredited member of the Better Business Bureau, and of course, you can check-out our reviews on Google, Yelp or Angie’s List.
Do I need to provide the cleaning supplies and equipment?
Each Pro Housekeeper has invested and provides their own cleaning supplies and equipment. If you have particular cleaning products you prefer, or equipment such as your own vacuum you wish the housekeeper to use, you are welcome to ask the housekeeper or us to convey your wishes. (Note: You may need to instruct the housekeeper on its proper use).
What cleaning products do the Pro Housekeepers use?
The Pro Housekeepers will use a combination of both non-toxic cleaners and standard cleaning products depending on the client’s request, but certainly prefer non-toxic cleaning for general health and frequent exposure. (Note: During and after Covid, some clients request housekeepers use disinfectants which are not exactly considered non-toxic, but feel the virus poses a greater risk).
Here is a link to some of the more common non-toxic cleaning products housekeepers prefer.
Additionally, some housekeepers use Probiotic cleaning products which can be beneficial for people with allergies or chemically sensitive individuals.
Please let us know what type of cleaning products you prefer when ordering your service and we will relay your requests to the housekeeper. If you have your own cleaning products which you prefer the housekeeper to use, just let the housekeeper know where you want your products used in your home.
Probiotic cleaning – what does that mean?
In 2007, Naked Clean was the first company in the USA to make available for Pro Housekeepers a probiotic cleaning formula which is proven through scientific testing in universities, hospitals, farms, and independent labs to significantly, and naturally, reduce pathogens (germs) up to 85%. We call the probiotic cleaner Cootie-Clean®, which you can request your housekeeper use during your cleaning. To learn more about our probiotic cleaning, you can read our website link here. (Note: We do not sell probiotic cleaning products to the public. They are exclusively available through our network of independent housekeepers who purchase the product through the Naked Clean platform)
Are you licensed and insured?
Since 2007, Naked Clean has been a trusted and reliable source with our Network of Pro Housekeepers here in San Diego. We are Licensed, Insured and Bonded for your protection:
- Licensed – Licensed in the City of Carlsbad
- General Liability Insurance – Two Million Dollar Policy*
- Bond – $10,000 coverage of staff
- Additional Accidental Damage Coverage – Claims Up to $1,000 for Household Property**
- Reputation – A+ Accredited with the Better Business Bureau since 2007
- For general safety, Naked Clean recommends valuables and irreplaceable items placed away from housekeeper(s) access, such as a locked closet, garage, safe, etc. Items which cannot be hidden due to their size and/or excess weight, should be pointed-out to housekeeper(s) prior to cleaning.
*Naked Clean’s Two Million General Liability Insurance policy covers bodily injury and property damage while the Pro Housekeeper is at your home. General Liability insurance is not worker compensation which is not required for self-employed individuals such as: housekeepers, landscapers, pool cleaners, handyman, carpet cleaners, etc.
**In addition to Naked Clean’s Two Million General Liability policy, Naked Clean requires all Pro Housekeepers in the Network Platform to provide additional self-insurance damage protection up to a maximum $1,000.
About Filing Claims
- Contact Naked Clean immediately by email (required for written documentation) to schedule a Naked Clean representative to visit your home and properly document your claim.
- For all claims the cleaning service must be completed within the past 72 hours. Each Repeat-Clean® or recurring visit is treated as a separate occurrence.
- The damage must be as a direct result of the housekeeper(s) cleaning service and within the scope of the work the client ordered by phone, website, workorder or email request.
- Your account must be in good standing without unpaid balances.
Note: In order to process an insurance damage claim, Naked Clean will require documentation for proof of ownership and value for any personal property. A representative from Naked Clean will visit your home to inspect any damages and assess whether to repair or replace the item(s)/area(s).
Does the Pro housekeeper use a checklist?
Each Pro Housekeeper will clean based on what you want them to do. Sometimes it’s beneficial to give the housekeeper or Naked Clean a list of your priorities.
Can I keep the same Pro Housekeeper?
Yes, absolutely. This is one Naked Clean’s main strengths. Many of our clients have had the same Housekeeper for many years. Since each housekeeper is an individual business owner, their main goal is to make sure you are pleased with their cleaning. On the other hand, if you wish to change Housekeeper’s, just let us know and we can make arrangements for you to try other Housekeepers.
What days of the week are you open?
Our hours to contact Naked Clean staff are Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm. Saturday 9:00am to 1:00pm.
What type of Repeat Clean schedules are available?
Most clients prefer a 2-Week or 4-Week schedule. If you you are interested in other cleaning schedules such as weekly, etc., please let us know and we’ll see what we can do to arrange it.
As a reference guide: Cleanings every 2-Weeks will usually keep the dust at bay in between cleaning visits and is the most common schedule. Cleaning every 4-Weeks does allow for some dust and dirt to accumulate, but will save money with your monthly budget.
What is a Deep (Premium) Clean vs. a Standard Clean?
A Deep or Premium Clean requires more time and detail than a Standard Clean. A Deep Clean is usually “hand-wiping” additional items in the home such as, door knobs and door frames; light switches; baseboards; shelving; blinds (note: blinds require a signed release of liability); hand polishing furniture as well as vacuuming sofas by removing all pillows; floors may require multiple moppings.
Move-In/Out Clean is similar to a Deep Clean, but will often involve wiping down the inside of cabinets, closets, the inside a refrigerator and oven; sometimes toxic cleaners are needed for neglected appliances, showers or toilets.
How do I pay for the service?
We accept credit card, electronic check or cash. If paying by cash please leave the payment for the housekeeper in a visible location, such as the kitchen counter. You can setup credit card or electronic check through our platform or by calling offices.
How does the Pro Housekeeper get access to my home?
There are a few options:
- Someone can be home to let the housekeeper in
- You can hide a key or use a lock-box
- You can provide a key to us or the housekeeper (keys in our offices are coded for your protection)
How do you charge for your service?
For our Repeat-Clean® service (every 2 or 4-weeks) you will be offered a Fixed Rate, which is determined by either the housekeeper or a Naked Clean staffer.
If you are looking for a One-Clean® (Deep Clean or Move In/Out), the charge is always hourly.
Do I need to be home when the cleaning is done?
This is entirely up to you. If you are booking a One-Clean® or the First-Clean® for a repeat service, we recommend you be home to meet the Pro Housekeeper so you can help guide them as to what you want done.
Do I need to prepare for a cleaning?
It’s a good idea to lightly pick-up items such as toys, clothing and other belongings from the floors and counter tops. This makes cleaning efficient and saves time. We also suggest putting away any valuable, delicate, sentimental, collectible items to avoid any risk of damage.
Should I tip my Pro Housekeeper?
Tips are always appreciated, but never required. If you would like to leave a tip for a job well done, 100% of all tips go directly to the professional housekeeper.
Do I have to sign a contract?
No. We do not use contracts and you may cancel service at any time.
